Bebington’s Newsletter – August

August’s News!

Welcome to our Newsletter. We have plenty of exciting activities planned across the Nursery to make the most of the beautiful sunshine!

Baby Room

This month in Baby Room, our focus ‘Under The Sea!’ During circle times, we will be singing all kinds of ocean related songs, including one of our favourites ‘Tiny Turtle!’ We will then be painting our very own turtles using paper plates to display around the room. How fun!

The babies will also have the opportunity to explore in a range of messy play activities such as splashing about with all sorts of different sea creatures in our under the sea themed water tray and getting wobbly like jelly fish in some wibbly-wobbly jelly!

Tweenies

This month in Tweenie Room, we will be continuing with our focus is ‘Summer!’ During circle times, we will be talking all about Summer time and will be discussing the different holiday destinations that we have visited all around the world. Where have you been on your holidays and what did you see?

The children will also have the opportunity to decorate their very own ice lollies and will even be making their very own flip-flops using paint and sequins to take home with them. What a busy month we have ahead of us!

Pre-School

This month in Pre-School, our focus is ‘Dinosaurs!’ During circle times, we will be talking all about the different types of dinosaurs, from iguanodons to raptors, and will also be playing the ‘Which Dinosaur Am I?’ guessing game as a group. We will even be reading some lovely story about our prehistoric friends and will be keeping an eye out for all the different types of dinosaur on each and every page. I wonder what we’ll find?

The children will also have the opportunity to get super creative in their play as they decorate their very own dinosaur eggs by blowing bubbles into paint to create a fantastic marble effect on the paper. We will even be digging for fossils in the sand tray!

Reminders

*As the weather is forecast to be warm over the next few weeks, we ask that you please pack a sunhat in your child’s bag in addition to any personal Suncream if you would not like to use our stocked brands.

*We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our Hawaiian themed garden party this month! We managed to raise over £240 for a defibrillator for the nursery and are extremely grateful for your generous donations.

*Please avoid ringing the nursery between 11:20 – 1:30 if you would like to talk to a member of our Baby Room team as it distrusts the children’s sleep. Thank you.

Thank you for your co-operation
