August’s News!

Welcome to our Newsletter. We have plenty of exciting activities planned across the Nursery to make the most of the beautiful sunshine!

Baby Room

This month in Baby Room, we will be continuing with our focus ‘Summer Time!’ The babies will have the opportunity to get super messy and creative in their play as they decorate their own kites using bright coloured collage paper. How fun!

The babies will also be making the most of the beautiful sunshine as they splash about in our role play beach area out in the garden. We will even be making our very own ice lollies to enjoy on a lovely Summer’s day. There’s so much to look forward to!

Tweenies

This month in Tweenie Room, our focus is ‘Summer Time and Holidays!’ During circle times, we will be talking all about Summer time and will be discussing the different holiday destinations that we have visited all around the world. Where have you been on your holidays and what did you see?

The children will also have the opportunity to get super creative in their play as they ‘pack’ a suitcase for their holidays by choosing and sticking down different items. I wonder what they’ll take with them? We will even be making our very own airport and aeroplane in the garden for role play. What an exciting month we have ahead of us!

Pre-School

This month in Pre-School, our focus is ‘Summer!’ During circle times, we will be talking all about Summer time and will be discussing the different holiday destinations that we have visited all around the world. Where have you been on your holidays and what did you see? We will also be talking about the importance of sun safety when playing out and about on a hot summer’s day.

The children will also have the opportunity to get super creative in their play as they make their very own collage pictures by cutting up and sticking down pieces of holiday brochures. We will even be transforming our role play area into a seaside holiday shop where the children will have the chance to sell ice creams, arm bands, snorkels and so much more!

Reminders

*As the weather is forecast to be warm over the next few weeks, we ask that you please pack a sunhat in your child’s bag in addition to any personal Suncream if you would not like to use our stocked brands.

*Please avoid ringing the nursery between 11:20 – 1:30 if you would like to talk to a member of our Baby Room team as it distrusts the children’s sleep. Thank you.
