Why Choose Bluebells?
We are a small, family owned business who prides ourselves in providing personal and outstanding childcare for the local community. A nurturing, educational and fun approach to teaching is at the heart of what we do to help your child.
Protecting our children’s health and welfare is our number one priority.
We adhere to strict legislation requirements to ensure that every child is safeguarded to enable them to feel safe and secure when at nursery and at home. Our team’s thorough knowledge of our safeguarding policies in addition to government guidelines allow us to act appropriately to keep the children in our care safe from harm.
We take our responsibility to safeguard children extremely seriously, therefore ensure that 100% of our team are certified in safeguarding regularly. Please speak to us if you have any questions or concerns.
The Learning Journal
Here at Bluebells, we are motivated to help your child reach their full potential. Our excellent teaching and stimulating environment ensures that your little one is always learning through play.
‘Tapestry’ is a private, online learning journal that we use to continuously document your child’s development. This allows you to see fun photos and videos of them during their time in nursery, in addition to providing you with regular updates on their progress. We love using Tapestry to share your child’s achievements with you!
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to support your child to learn through play. This sets out the overall, high standards for child care and education across the country. In order to help your child reach their full potential, we abide by the four overreaching principles of the EYFS. These include;
A Unique Child – We respect children as individuals and support them to become resilient, capable, confidant and self-assured.
Positive Relationships –We strive to create positive relationships with the children and also encourage them to form friendly relationships with their peers.
Enabling Environments – We communicate regularly amongst our team and parents to ensure that our environment is stimulating for all our children.
Development – We understand that every child develops in different ways and at different rates and adjust our practice to suit their changing needs.
Here at Bluebells, successful partnership working is imperative to us. We endeavour to create strong and personal relationships with all of our families as we believe that this is critical in creating a positive and safe environment for your child.
Our key worker approach ensures that we are able to get to know your little one extremely well. Upon collection, you will receive a thorough hand-over about their day and will also be informed about their progress through key worker meetings. We also understand that you know your child best so we greatly appreciate any suggestions that you may have to support them further.
In addition, as your child’s health and well-being is our ultimate priority, we also work in partnership with other professionals when necessary. We strive to provide appropriate and stimulating care for all our children, including those with additional needs.
